What made you want to join the LaunchHouse team? What are you most excited about doing here?

I wanted to be a part of something that allowed me to make a larger impact. I am interested in entrepreneurship personally so the position at LaunchHouse really marries my interest in community-building with my desire to become an entrepreneur! I am most excited about the practical programming we are rolling out next year.

Where did you go to college and what did you major in?

I went to Cornell University in upstate New York and my major was Anthropology.

What were you involved in outside of class at Cornell University?

Outside of class, I was on a step team as well as Public Achievement where I developed middle and high school programming around community development. I was also the president of a group that did environmental awareness programming in high schools.

When you aren’t working, what do you do for fun?

When I’m not working, I’m also a part-time MBA student at Case and I love to try out new restaurants and coffee shops around Cleveland. I also like to attend Meetup events to get to know new people and sometimes I like just being at home with my cats.

Where’s your favorite place in Northeast Ohio?

I think Cuyahoga Falls is really beautiful and I also love hanging out in Ohio City at the plethora of bars and restaurants that are there.

How do you feel about Cleveland sports?

I have never been that into sports in general, but I love a good Cavs game when I can go.

Tell us about your family! Any siblings?

My family lives in Connecticut, where I’m originally from. We have a modern blended family that has learned to live and love together. I have a brother named Christopher and we are 15 years apart!

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about community. I have a love for cooking because it brings people together, just as I have a love of education because it builds community. Being at LaunchHouse as Keeper of the Community just makes sense to me.

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

So many great nuggets of wisdom have been passed to me throughout my life, but I think the best that comes to mind is to ignore that old saying of “if you want it done right, do it yourself” and instead to not be afraid to ask for help. More than one mind together can create something magical and I’m glad the LaunchHouse community supports collaboration!
